Over 6 million Canadians do not have a family doctor.
“There are more than 1,200 family doctors listed in Ottawa on the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) website, but a CBC News analysis [found] only three are currently accepting new patients.”
Provincial services like the Ministry of Health website do not list whether physicians are actively accepting patients. In Ontario, often the only way to find a family doctor is often by calling which can be frustrating and time-consuming. That’s why we made Fern.
